The picturesque village of Slaidburn, on the banks of the River Hodder, is situated in the moorland region of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Also known as the Bowland Fells, it’s a remote area of gritstone fells, deep valleys and peat moorland tucked away on the western edge of the Pennines.
