Great Dun Fell, Penrith, CA10 1TN
Great Dun Fell is the second-highest mountain in the Pennines, standing at a height of 848m and the service road up to the radar station ‘golf ball’ is a 7.5km climb that every cyclist should attempt at least once. 100 Climbs author, Simon Warren, describes the climb as Britain’s answer to Mont Ventoux, so this is one climb that we just had to include.
